**I hope everyone enjoys the day off on Tuesday!
We are moving right along in our learning, and I am really enjoying the time with your children! Thank you for working so diligently with your children at home. It shows! I hope you are enjoying the extra family time and play time this school model allows.

- **Please continue reviewing numbers 1-10. Students should be able to name each number in isolation, quickly and accurately.

Objectives:
1. To produce all of the sounds of each of the first 26 phonograms.

3. To be able to read sentences with current sight words and CVC words.
4. To be able to recognize and produce rhyming words.
- We are taking this week to review reading short vowel words and sentences before proceeding with our new OPG lessons. Please review lessons 27-40 on Monday and on Wednesday/Friday.
- Have your child read past OPG readers for practice along with the WORD FANS that were sent home. The goal is for our students to be able to blend CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) words accurately in order to read the word.
- IMPORTANT!!! Please expect your child to point to each word as they are reading sentences in their mini-books. This is called "tracking" and it is important when first learning to read. If they are struggling with wanting to guess the word, have them point to each letter in the word and say each sound (then blend it). It is also very helpful to blend the first 2 sounds together first then have them add the last sound.
